Cameo Male (Pavo cristatus mutation brown)
This mutation has a brown fan-shaped crest. The male
has the same color pattern as the India Blue. However, the entire
bird is predominantly brown in color. This mutation has a change
in the structure of the feather which does not allow for iridescence.
The head is a rich chocolate brown color, which fades to a lighter
brown on its lower breast. The wings are a creamy tan with brown
barring. The train is a darker brown than the wings. The ocelli
in the train feathers have a noticeable eye pattern. The Cameo
brown color tends to fade when exposed to constant direct sunlight.
Cameo breed true offspring when breeding Cameo to Cameo.
