Java Green Male (Pavo muticus muticus)
This is a wild type true species. This bird is tall,
leggy, and leaner-looking than the India Blue species. The crest
is a green color, which is long and tapered. Facial skin is bare
with light cobalt blue around the eyes and bright chrome yellow
from the ear region to the base of the bill. The bill and legs
are brownish black. Throat and extreme upper neck are covered
with short metallic blue-green feathers. The wing are bright metallic
blue and green. The abdomen and flanks are dark green. The thighs
are black mottled with brown. Javanese Green bred to Javanese
Green breed true.
