Blue Pied Male

(Pavo cristatus mutation pied)

This mutation has patches of white replacing many of the normal colors of the India Blue. The white patches may be located anywhere on the bird. The more select bred Blue Pied males will have white radiating throughout the train. Blue Pied bred to Blue Pied do not breed true. When Blue Pied is bred to Blue Pied, the theoretical genetic ratio of 1:2:1 should occur (25% White, 50% Blue Pied, 25% Dark Pied). The Dark Pied resemble India Blue in appearance.
