Black Shoulder Pied Male

(Pavo cristatus mutation pied and negripennis)

This mutation has patches of white replacing many of the normal colors of the Black Shoulder. The white patches may be located anywhere on the bird. More select bred Black Shoulder Pieds will have white radiating throughout the train. Black Shoulder Pied bred to Black Shoulder Pied, the theoretical ratio of 1:2:1 should occur (25% White, 50% Black Shoulder Pied, 25% Dark Pied). The Dark Pied will resemble Black Shoulder with white flight feathers or coverts.
